Earth School’s curriculum is not for the weary

In my recent work with clients there is a consistent theme around the lines of:

“This is not where I thought I would be.” or “I didn’t really want this experience, yet here I am.”

Finding yourself in a place that doesn’t align with where you want to be can be frustrating, difficult, and downright maddening at times. But let me offer you some perspective to assist with your acceptance of what is and your power to shift what needs shifting so you can get yourself in alignment with where you really want to be.

Acceptance is the first step in creating any change. If you cannot accept what is, you will be unable to do anything to shift it. So find all of your blocks to accepting what the current reality of your life is and work with them to clear them so you can get going with the next phase.

Feeling all of of the feels that arise within you as you begin to work through the blocks, the resistance, the lower vibrating emotions that are present within is also necessary. You cannot heal what you do not feel. So as difficult and painful as this part of the process is, it cannot be skipped. You must feel the gunk, but don’t stay there. Insist on rising up out of it once you have felt it fully. (And know that it may come in waves. What you thought you healed at one point in life may resurface again and that is okay, it’s just asking for deeper healing this time around.)

Once you’ve come to the place of acceptance of what is and begin feeling what is really there within you, you have opened up the door for the more Light to enter in. This is good because the Light is what does the healing. When you invite the Light in, it knows what you need and will assist you in any healing and Self-discovery process, but you must invite it in and ask for the assistance you need.

When you get to this part of the process, it is a good idea to ask yourself if you really want the healing that you claim you do. I have come to find, both with myself and in working with others, that we may desire certain aspects of ourselves or parts of our lives to be healed, to be better, to feel better, etc., but then we find ourselves not really wanting to show up for the necessary changes or in the new ways to get ourselves where we want to be.

This is where discipline comes in. Are we willing to:

  • Forgive - both ourselves and others?

  • Let go of what no longer serves?

  • Practice a new way of being on the daily? (knowing that we’ll NEVER get it all right nor all done)

  • See and appreciate the good that currently exists in our lives?

  • Show up for ourselves and our lives in the way we truly need to?

  • Invite in what is good and well for us?

It may help for you to think of the Earth as a school and you are a student of Earth School who may have just entered into a new grade where things aren’t as they were before and the curriculum may be a little more challenging, but you are not misplaced and there is nothing wrong with you or the school for that matter. You are invited to do the homework presented to you through your life experiences and you get opportunities to do the assignments at hand as many times as you need to learn what you need to learn before you move on to the next assignment or grade level.

When you think of what’s going on in your life in these terms, it helps to make it less personal and more about what it is that you are learning through the experiences and processes that life has you in.

Again, you will NEVER get it all right and you can’t get it all done, so go easy on yourself. One day a time, one step at a time. You’ve got this and I believe in you!

And if you need some assistance along the way - please reach out. It’s what I do!

You are loved and supported - always - in all ways.

Kristy
